Coverage & Backlink Checker is a browser extension built by The Digital PR Toolbox. This policy explains what information the extension accesses and how it's used.
What the extension does
When you click the extension icon, it checks the page you're currently viewing for links pointing to domains you've saved in your settings. It shows you whether any matching link is followed, nofollow, or marked as sponsored, along with the anchor text and the specific page it links to.
What information we collect
We don't collect anything. The extension doesn't send any data to us or to any third party.
The list of domains you save is stored locally in your own browser, using Chrome's built-in storage. It never leaves your device, and we have no access to it.
When you click the extension icon, it reads the content of the page you're currently viewing, using Chrome's "activeTab" permission. This only happens on the page you're actively looking at, when you choose to check it. The extension doesn't run in the background, doesn't track your browsing history, and doesn't read any other tabs.
What happens to the information on the page
Any information the extension reads, such as links, anchor text, or page publish dates, is processed entirely within your browser to show you the results. Nothing is copied, logged, or transmitted anywhere. When you use the "copy citation" feature, that information is copied to your device's clipboard only, ready for you to paste into your own coverage log.
Third parties
We don't share information with third parties, because we don't collect any to share. The extension doesn't use analytics, advertising, or tracking tools of any kind. Changes to this policy If this policy changes, we'll update this page and change the date above.
